Mixed hunting in Italy with pointing dogs: a lifestyle!
Hunting enthusiasts know that mixed hunting in Italy with dogs is a true way of life! An emotion that is hard to describe in words.
Hunting with your hunting companion is an activity that keeps you busy all year round: taking care of your dog and its training must be ongoing, not just during the hunting season.
Our hunting companion is an athlete who can be put to the test during hunting days, and for this reason, its preparation is of fundamental importance.
Often, the dog is remembered only towards the opening of the hunting season, and the most frequent mistake is subjecting it to overly intense and counterproductive training sessions for its health.
With Montefeltro, you will have the opportunity to prepare your dog throughout the year and not be unprepared for the start of the hunting season!
In Italy, our reserves await you both during the hunting season and outside it, to spend days hunting with your dog.
La Montefeltro reserve – Rivergaro in Piacenza
Our Montefeltro reserve – Rivergaro in the province of Piacenza has an area (known as zone C) dedicated to training hunting dogs outside the hunting season.
Here, you can practice dog training with and without gunfire.
You can keep your dog fit and observe its work from great distances thanks to the excellent visibility offered by the reserve’s terrain.
During the hunting season, you can enjoy hunting with your dog and enjoy the results achieved thanks to the training. To access the reserve, you can purchase seasonal shares or daily passes!
Here in Rivergaro, you will also find a welcoming hunting lodge where you can have a coffee before going out hunting. If you wish, you can also have lunch and enjoy our dishes to refresh yourself after the morning in nature with your dog!
Hunting with dogs in Cagli at the San Fiorano reserve
Moving to central Italy, you can discover the wonderful San Fiorano reserve in Cagli, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino. A real paradise for hunting with dogs.
Here, among the gentle hills of Marche, you can work calmly with your hunting companion and establish with him that crucial mutual trust relationship for successful hunting actions!
In this reserve, the hunting ground consists of an alternation of cultivated fields, uncultivated lands, oak forests, streams, and small lakes: at San Fiorano, you will find a unique view of the Marche hills, straight out of a fairy tale!
Feather hunting in the Fiordimonte reserve in the province of Macerata
In the province of Macerata, instead, lies one of Italy’s largest reserves, Valle di Fiordimonte, which with its 5,000 hectares will immerse you completely in nature.
Located on the border between Marche and Umbria, it embraces the Apennine territory, offering a spectacular panorama and truly beautiful feather hunting!
Its fame lies in the large high-altitude meadows, perfect for training dogs on partridges and quails.
At lower altitudes, cultivated areas host many pheasants. And if you are passionate about big game hunting, here you can also practice hunting ungulates.

During the hunting season, La Centuriona hosts magnificent English-style pheasant drives, celebrated for their elegance and impeccable organization, reminiscent of British tradition. Guests enjoy a unique experience, with high-quality shooting set against a meticulously maintained and captivating natural backdrop. Managed by Graziella e Giorgio Paraporti, the estate is also known for its commitment to sustainable practices, ensuring the utmost respect for the surrounding environment.

Additionally, the estate offers wild boar driven hunts, a thrilling experience as boars are driven towards hunters stationed at strategic points. For those who prefer a more active pursuit, hunting with pointing dogs is available, allowing hunters to work closely with trained dogs to locate and flush game.
Beyond hunting, Relais Todini provides a range of amenities, including a gourmet restaurant serving regional cuisine, a spa for relaxation, and elegantly appointed rooms and suites.
