GUN MAINTENANCE
Maintaining your firearm is essential to ensuring its reliability throughout the season. We recommend servicing your gun at least every 3 years but more frequently if you have experienced a significant amount of rainy days during the season. If you want a complete check-up and tune-up of your firearm upon arrival, just let us know. Our gunsmiths will be happy to take care of your rifles and return them perfect and ready to fire.
CARTRIDGES
Ensuring you have the right cartridges for the type of hunting you’ll be doing during your trip to Italy will undoubtedly make the hunting day more enjoyable. There’s nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable with your equipment during the action. Our team has extensive experience and can properly advise you on the best type and weight of cartridge or ammunition to use on any hunting day.
Montefeltro is a joint venture with the Beretta Group, a world leader in the gunsmithing sector and owner of many brands in the ammunition segment such as RWS, Norma, Geko, Rottweiler, and others. This allows us to always have any type of ammunition ready for your enjoyment. Order your cartridges and ammunition before departure, and we’ll make sure they’re ready for you when you arrive on the hunting ground. If you don’t want to worry too much, we always have an extra supply of shotgun cartridges and bullets on hand in case you run out or want to try something different.
INSTRUCTORS AND ASSISTANCE
We are very fortunate to offer our clients access to the best guides and shooting instructors for any on-field tuition, and we can arrange experienced and qualified loaders for your drives to make your hunting day even more enjoyable.
SHOTGUN CERTIFICATES AND VISITOR PERMITS
Anyone hunting with us, bringing their own guns, must possess a valid permit, which must be carried with them when using the firearm and especially during transfers and hunting days in Italy. Each serial number of the gun you have with you must be listed on your certificate. If you wish to bring a firearm into Italy from abroad for your hunt, you must obtain a visitor’s shotgun permit. We are highly experienced in obtaining these permits and can arrange them for individuals or for the entire team of hunters. If you would like further information on visitor shotgun permits, please contact us at info@montefeltro.com, and we ask that anyone requiring visitor shotgun permits submit their request to our team at least 2 months before the scheduled hunt date.
AIRPORT PICK-UP
Our staff is available 24/7 during your stay in Italy with us, so whether your plane lands at 23:00 or 04:30, we’ll have someone there to greet you and take you either to your hotel or to the hunting ground in time for the opening.
